You have an idea that won't let you sleep. You've done some research, talked to potential users, and you're ready to build. But where do you actually start? Here's the framework we use with our clients.
Days 1-30: Validation and Planning
Before writing a single line of code, spend time validating your assumptions. Talk to at least 20 potential users. Understand their pain points deeply. Map out the core user journey.
Define your MVP scope ruthlessly. What's the one thing your product must do well? Everything else can wait.
Days 31-60: Build Phase
This is where the magic happens. Whether you're building yourself or working with a development partner, focus on shipping working features weekly. Get feedback constantly.
Don't aim for perfection—aim for functional. You can always iterate based on real user feedback.
Days 61-90: Launch and Learn
Soft launch to a small group of beta users. Watch how they use your product. Note where they struggle. Collect feedback aggressively.
Then, iterate fast. The first version of your product is just the beginning of the conversation with your market.
The Bottom Line
Speed matters, but not at the expense of learning. Every decision in these 90 days should bring you closer to understanding what your customers actually need. Ship fast, learn faster.
